A year and six months later...

A year and six months later. Wow, it's been a long time. Truth is that I decided I had to give myself a break, some kind of a break. I was starting to drive myself crazy a little bit. Still no pregnancy, but we are far from giving up. I've decided that I'm ready to get back into the swing of things. (Not that ttc was ever off of my mind!) I've recently been diagnosed with low thyroid function- which (is this weird?) I am VERY excited to find out about! My chiropractor has suggested a load of natural supplements to help my thyroid function. He is very very excited about my diagnosis and is confident that we can turn this right away with the treatment plan that he's come up with. He's predicting a pregnancy in three months! Or, at very least, my bbt will go up significantly! So...this is what I'm taking every day, my new all natural approach to health and fertility:

Products by Biotics:
Cytozyme-AD (which contains bovine adrenal complex)
Cytozyme-PT/HPT (lamb pituitary/hypothalamus complex)
GTA-Forte (zinc, selenium, copper)
Bio-Glycozyme Forte (a powerful multi-vitamin)
Iodizyme (iodine in small amounts to detox liver)
Beta-TCP (to help liver function, help with insulin resistance)
Hydo-Zyme (digestive enzyme)

CoQ10
Omega fish oil
Vitamin D

1-2 pitchers of organic green tea/raspberry leaf tea per week
spoonful of virgin coconut oil (which is extremely beneficial in many ways!)
fresh vegetable juice almost every day (as much as I can!)

I am hoping to connect with other women with thyroid issues so that we can swap ideas, stories, inspire each other, all of that really important stuff!!

Not sure if anyone still reads these posts! Hope everyone's healthy happy and well! :)

  1. Hello,
I actually obtained this link from another blog site. Dealing with infertility is so unbelievable. I find a sense of comfort and hope reading other people's stories. It's sad that we have to go through this journey in order to conceive, but everything happens for a reason. Not experiencing any issues with thyroid (at least I have not been diagnosed and I hope not down the line). Just started exercising to get my body in shape. I'll be having my right tube removed in a few weeks. It appears to be blocked and has fluid that is toxic to the production of an embryo that might developed via the left tube. I'm doing all that I can.

feel free to e-mail me at baby.bump@aim.com

I don't eat seafood and by coincidence I'm allergic to seafood after I had an allergic reaction to the dye used for the HSG procedure. Thanks for posting what you're currently taking for improved health. I plan on purchasing CoQ10 and Omega fish oil. I've been taking a prenatal vitamin everyday for almost a year now so I'm getting the proper supplements aside from what I eat.

You're not alone. The sad part is none of my girlfriends know what I am going through. My sister is toooo emotional to share this with. Only my husband and mom are aware.

  2. Thank you so much for your comment! Hello to you to!!

I'm sorry that it's taken me so long to respond, I plan on updating my blog more often.

I'm interested to hear how things are going for you after your tube removal. It turns out that I need to go through a similar procedure. After all this time TTC, I wasn't even aware that hydrosalpinges existed. I had no idea how toxic that fluid could be. I hope that things are going well...maybe by now you have that baby bump you so desperately want! I really really hope so!

You are so right, dealing with infertility is unreal. I think it's really important to find some kind of a support group. Like you said, it's helped me to read people's stories online...out here in the real world I don't know anyone dealing with this to such an extent.

    We need to stick together!

Well wishes and baby dust to you! Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story! :)
